You can bet on the fact that every single new Kia vehicle that comes from Lancaster Kia has received a great deal of attention and detail from a talented team of engineers and designers. That in mind, it comes as no surprise that Kia would want the drivers operating these vehicles to be given an equally focused amount of attention.

What exactly is Lancaster Kia talking about? That would be B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe), is a program that provides teens with valuable training services to help them learn how to be safe when driving. As acting sponsor of the program, Kia not only supports the Teen Pro Active Driving Course financially but encourages all young Kia drivers to engage in such classes as well.

As Michael Sprague, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Kia Motors America, explains, "Reinforcing the importance of responsible driving in the first few months of licensure is essential to reducing the number of teen motor vehicle crashes and making the roads safer for everyone."1

The program is of no cost for drivers ages 15 to 19 and it shows real-world situations in the following areas: distracted driving, panic stop, accident avoidance, drop wheel/off road recovery, and car control and recovery.

Interested in knowing more about the program as well as further Kia-sponsored safe driving initiatives? Swing by our Lancaster area location and our team would be happy to provide more information.
