In honor of its sponsorship of the UEFA EURO 2012 championship, Kia has made a generous donation of $100,000 to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Although these two events don't seem related, it was all part of a bigger plan for Kia.

Specifically, throughout the UEFA EURO 2012 championship, Kia allowed six 'wish' children to serve as official match ball carriers at various games in Poland and Ukraine. There, the kids had a chance to deliver the official match ball onto the pitch and meet many of their favorite athletes, which is the kind of thing that the Make-A-Wish foundation is known for.

"Make-A-Wish International is thrilled to be Kia's selected charity and know that our wish children are very excited to take part in UEFA EURO 2012," exlcaims Jon Stettner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish International. "This opportunity offers a wonderful way for our wish children and Kia to take part in celebrating our mission and love for football together!"1

The only thing that we here at Lancaster Kia love more than offering new Kia models to greater Lancaster area drivers is hearing about great initiatives like this. It's part of the reason why we started this blog in the first place. That said, we invite you to stay tuned for more on this and other exciting initiatives, as everyone here at 5250 Main Street in East Peterburg, PA is dedicated to keeping you informed.
