Many seasoned drivers are of the opinion that you just can't beat the fun that comes from a traditional manual transmission. With that in mind, Kia has listened to its rapidly-growing consumer base and decided to offer up a 2013 Kia Rio SX with M/T.
Set to a limited production run of 500 units, the Rio SX with a manual gearbox is aimed at enthusiasts who want the traditional transmission without having to purchase the base level model and sacrifice standard features. Previously, manual was available only for the Kia Rio LX trim.
Orth Hedrick, Director of Product Planning for Kia Motors America, says, "Our customers and the automotive press have been asking for the Rio 5-door SX with a manual transmission, and we've listened. We'll continue to evaluate consumer demand and consider bringing other high-spec manuals to market."1
For now, the "high-spec manual" at hand comes with the kind of features Lancaster Kia knows consumers will love. These include a seven-inch touch screen with navigation, rear backup camera, LED taillights and accent lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, sporty suspension, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and snazzy black upholstery.
As Lancaster Kia mentioned before, the 2013 Kia Rio SX M/T has a fixed production rate so don't shy from heading to 5250 Main Street in East Petersburg, PA to learn more. Here you'll find a team of experts ready to give you the run-down on any new Kia model, Kia parts, and more.
