Adding to its bright and colorful fleet of Justice League vehicles, Kia recently unveiled another flashy model at the New York Auto Show, this time a 2013 Kia Sportage inspired by the superheroine Wonder Woman. Clad with patriotic designs, this was certainly a great addition to the lineup which represents superhero attributes like justice, courage, and equality.
As part of DC Entertainment's "We Can Be Heroes" campaign, Kia has been designing these models to raise awareness and money for hunger crisis relief in the Horn of Africa. The unique Kia Sportage is adorned with red, white and blue spangled side detailing and a stylish Wonder Woman logo which accents its grille. To complete the design, a gold line wraps around the body of the vehicle to represent The Lasso of Truth.
Kia chose this particular model and theme match up based on how well they pair together in what they represent. "As one of the most well-known Super Heroes in the world, Wonder Woman portrays an impressive balance of power, agility and confidence, all of which are inherent characteristics of the Sportage crossover," explains Michael Sprague, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications for KMA. "Like the rest of the Justice League-inspired vehicles, this customized Sportage signifies a meaningful collaboration between cars and pop-culture."1
Among the vehicles joining the Sportage in the lineup are a Batman Optima, Green Lantern Soul and an Aquaman Rio. For the eigth and final installment to the series, the model will represent all of the Justice League characters. We can't wait to see what Kia comes up with for its final design, but we feel certain it will take creativity to a whole new level.
