Amidst the variety of crafty commercials that aired during this year's Super Bowl, Kia unveiled the 2014 Kia Forte sedan. The ad showed the turbo compact as an a cappella group sang the song "We Are Young" by the band fun. This left all of us at Lancaster Kia curious about what we could expect with the Kia Forte hatchback model as well. We are here to bring all of you in the York, East Petersburg, and Reading areas the latest details.
Ever since the Forte model replaced the Spectra, it has undergone a number of improvements. This year the 2013 Chicago Auto Show unveiled its hatchback variation known as the Forte 5-door. The only features it shares with the sedan model are its headlights and hood design. Beyond this it sports a smaller version of the signature front Kia nose, a larger grille, and round fog lamps. These unique features give it an overall European appearance.
For interior features, the Forte hatch offers the optional sedan base 2.0-liter I-4 engine that produces 173 horsepower. It also offers the option of a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine that produces 201 horsepower. Each option comes with a six-speed automatic and the turbo offers an additional six-speed manual transmission. It is available in the EX and SX Trims and comes with an extensive list of features that will make it a great addition to our new Kia lineup.
Some of the stand out features include HID headlights, navigation, heated steering wheel, push-button start, and dual-zone climate control just to name a few. The complete list of features and enhanced Kia parts have yet to be unveiled.
