The new Kia EV9 is luxurious, inside and out. The exterior provides you with LED headlights and stunning alloy wheels. You also find things like roof rails and gloss black exterior accents on select trims. Inside, the EV9 has seating for either six or seven. Either way, there is plenty of space in each of the three rows for getting comfortable. There are over 20 cubic feet of storage space behind the third row, making the EV9 a practical daily driver for families.
There are four available powertrain setups for the new EV9. The Light gives you a 76.1-kWh battery and the ability to make 215 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It has an estimated range of 230 miles on a full charge. The Light Long Range lives up to that name with a 99.8-kWh battery and a range of 304 miles. As for the output, the Light Long Range can make 201 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
The Land and Wind trim levels have the same setup under the hood. In addition to dual motors and standard all-wheel drive, these models can make 379 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. The estimated range is 280 miles. For the GT-Line, dual motors help pump out 379 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. You can expect an estimated 270 miles of range.
Integrated navigation, a digital instrument panel, and USB ports in the first two rows are standard tech highlights for the EV9. This SUV also has a gorgeous 12.3-inch touchscreen for the Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® features, plus an eight-speaker sound system and a wireless charging pad.
It is not surprising that the EV9 also has the latest driver assistance technology. All trim levels are equipped with blind-spot warning, adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, a safe exit assist, a rear-seat reminder, and a lane-keeping system. The EV9 also gives Reading, PA, drivers intersection collision mitigation and front and rear parking sensors.
